In KS3 all students follow a course in Drama, over one hour a week students have the opportunity to develop an understanding of performance skills and theatre history.
We study a diverse selection of play texts and issues designed to give students a broad appreciation of the subject.
There are two KS3 drama clubs, a whole school play and many voluntary theatre trips.
Bourne End Academy Drama is also actively involved with the National Theatre Connections Festival and the Shakespeare for Schools Festival which gives our students the opportunity to perform in professional theatre in the region.
At the end of Year 9 students have the opportunity to pursue GCSE Drama or BTEC Level 2 which encourages character development, performance skills and knowledge of professional theatre.
At KS5 we offer courses in BTEC performing arts and Drama A level depending on the cohort.
